Rosenthal Receives One Day, Fine, Probation

San Francisco June 4- Ed Rosenthal, self-styled "pot guru" and author of several books on growing, received a one day sentence and a $1300 fine from Judge Breyer in US District Court.  Rosenthal got credit for time served and was ordered to 3 years court supervised probation. It couldn't have happened to a nicer guy (sic). His lawyer plans an appeal.

Of course, Rosenthal, gracious person that he is, went on to insult Judge Breyer and the court, saying, "This judge has no honor," he said afterward. "If he had honor, he would have dismissed this case in the beginning."

"He didn't want to give me a light sentence," Rosenthal continued. "He was forced to do it by public opinion."
