See De La Fuente Declares War Against Oaksterdam Clubs Oakland Sept 20-If City Council President Ignacio De La Fuente has his way, Oaksterdam -- downtown Oakland's web of eight or so medicinal cannabis clubs -- will be a hazy memory.

It's especially important that Oakland residents contact their city councilmembers in support of the clubs. The revised proposal by the city's manager's office is still recommending that only ONE club be allowed in Oakland. Also, they are recommending a cap of 1/4 oz. per purchase, which would require many patients to make multiple visits per week to keep their supplies replenished.

This proposal will be voted on Oct. 28th by the Public Safety
Commitee. Key members to target include:

Larry Reid. (Dist 7 ) - South Oakland
