RB Correll Buckhalter got off to a fast start with Philadelphia and
was productive while handling the ball 98 times rushing and receiving
in the first half of the season. But Buckhalter hardly has played
since he and a couple of backup players were pulled over by Philadelphia
police after the officers allegedly smelled marijuana coming from
their car. Buckhalter was not arrested,
but
coach Andy Reid suspended him for a game, made him explain himself
to the media and has hardly played him since then. Asked recently
whether the reduced workload was a coincidence, Reid's answer was
brief and to the point. "No."
